Kimiwa Saddat

Kimiwa Saddat is an independent advisor to corporates, financial institutions, and founders. He brings more than 23 years of senior banking experience built across the full spectrum of the industry — multinational banks, leading large local banks, and new-generation institutions.

His career has taken him through some of the most respected names in banking: HSBC Bangladesh on the multinational side, and Eastern Bank Limited, The City Bank PLC, Meghna Bank PLC, and Community Bank Bangladesh PLC among local institutions. This rare combination — multinational discipline alongside deep domestic market experience, and exposure to both established and new-generation banks — defines his advisory perspective.

Most recently, he served as Managing Director (Current Charge) of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC. Prior to that, he was Deputy Managing Director at Meghna Bank PLC, where he led the Corporate Banking division. Earlier, he served as First Vice President and Unit Head, Corporate Banking, at The City Bank PLC.

His functional expertise spans conventional banking, Islamic banking, offshore banking, and the full suite of trade finance facilities — letters of credit, guarantees, supply-chain finance, structured trade, and cross-border arrangements. He advises clients on the intersection of strategy and finance: designing capital structures, preparing for transactions, navigating banking relationships, and building the financial discipline required for sustainable growth.

He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Dhaka and is a Certified Financial Consultant (CFC), accredited by the Institute of Financial Consultants, Canada.
